Press On!

Welcome to a new month, the beautiful month of July, the beginning of the 2nd half of the year!

This is the time for a Mid-Year review, all sorts of assessments going on to gauge your performance for the 1st half of the year. Some face this with much excitement and others with sadness.

Some wonder, with all the resolutions and plans I had at the beginning of 2016, big dreams and goals they still haven’t happened…

If you have received an A+, A, B+ or B…or even  a C, kudos to you, you have done well and will only do better.
However if you have fallen below these grades and you’re in the D, E, F, G, H, I,….X, Y, Z class… Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world. You just need to get back on track.
So it is certainly necessary to go back to the drawing board, discover what led to this, figure out what you need to implement to ensure that the next 3/6 months count. You certainly don’t want to end the year on a Z note.

However, what I do no want you to do is to give up, to feel like a loser, or to beat yourself hard. You might beat yourself a little, but don’t stay at the beating point. Don’t begin to think all is lost and all is hope is gone.

So as we begin a new month and and the 2nd half of the year, I urge you to PRESS ON…(as in the writings of Apostle Paul- Phillipians 3:12-14 NLT).

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

If you have any of the feelings listed below, be assured this is a time for you to re-assess and refire. Don’t count yourself out of the game. Just PRESS ON!

Yes it can get really tough at times, Really Tough, but always be reminded of this word by our saviour Jesus Christ John 16:33 (NLT)

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

And Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Remember you have your part to play!
Be Diligent in Being and Doing.
Stay disciplined and focused.
Put in the hard work required.
Keep your words right, let your joy be full. Praise your way through.

God’s is with you and his light is shinning on you.

I assure you, God will be glorified in your life. Hang in there, wait on Him, Trust Him, Love Him and PRESS ON!
